Dear Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Montessori Village Green! We’re honored that you’ve chosen us to be part of your child’s educational journey. Our team looks forward to partnering with you and supporting your child as they grow through the Montessori philosophy.

Our Program

Montessori Village Green nurtures the development of the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our peaceful classrooms feature:

• • Multi-age groupings
• • Hands-on, self-directed materials
• • Individual and small-group lessons
• • A focus on independence, focus, and self-confidence

Children move through a carefully sequenced curriculum at their own pace, guided by experienced teachers. Our program includes the following core areas:

• • Practical Life – self-care, coordination, and responsibility
• • Sensorial – exploring through touch, sight, sound, and movement
• • Language – building communication, reading, and writing skills
• • Mathematics – hands-on materials to master concepts deeply
• • Cultural and Geography – learning about the world and its people
• • Art – creative expression and monthly artist studies
• • Science – hands-on experiments, plant/animal studies, and gardening

For New Families

We have four mixed-age preschool/VPK classrooms, each with a lead and assistant teacher. While we offer individualized support within the classroom, we are unable to provide one-on-one guidance or paraprofessional services. If your child needs extra support, we’re happy to recommend external resources. Please note: For the safety of all children, students who display extreme behaviors that disrupt learning or pose safety risks may not be able to attend. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions about this policy.

Program Updates

Starting in the 2025–2026 school year:

• • Half-day VPK will no longer be offered. A full-day schedule supports deeper learning and independence.
• • Early Release Fridays will give teachers essential planning time and better align with Odyssey’s dismissal schedule. Children still on campus after 2:15 PM will move into aftercare at no additional cost.
